Clive Barnes is regarded as one of the finest performers on the Irish roots circuit today. Hailing from the South East, Clive's bluegrass jazzy performance tones transport his audience to the deep south. Barnes has been slowly gaining a worldwide reputation as one of the finest Lapslide/Regular acoustic guitarist and songwriters. Having released four critically acclaimed albums, he has played and recorded with Joe Cocker, Taj Mahal and Eric Bibb, has played three sold out US tours, tours of France, Germany and the UK and taken various awards, Including Album of the Year 2002 for Welcome to Farewell in the US magazine Acoustic Guitar

Clive came to the festival in 2015 when he took part in Australian musician Jim Moginie's Guitar Orchestra project 'The Colour Wheel', and gave a memorable solo gig in O'Shea's Pub as well.
