Deborah Levy

Deborah Levy (born 1959 in South Africa) writes fiction, plays, and poetry. She is the author of highly praised novels including Swimming Home (shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize in 2012), Beautiful Mutants, Swallowing Geography (reissued 2014) The Unloved, and Billy and Girl, the story collection Black Vodka, and the essay Things I Don’t Want to Know. She lives in London. 

She came to Borris in 2014 and 2016 ("such interesting company - my favourite festival so far").

In Spring 2016, her long-awaited brand new novel Hot Milk was releaseda profound exploration of the sting of sexuality, of unspoken female rage, of myth and modernity, the lure of hypochondria and big pharma.
