Lisa Dwan

Lisa Dwan is an Irish actress from Westmeath. She originally had her sights set at becoming a ballet dancer and left school at 14 after winning a scholarship to attend the Dorothy Stevens School of Ballet in Leeds.

Her first acting role was as Agnes in an adaption of Oliver Twist co-starring Elijah Wood and Richard Dreyfuss.

She is most well known for her critically acclaimed performance in Samuel Beckett’s Not I in London’s Battersea Arts Centre in 2005. She performed the piece again in 2009 at London’s Southbank Centre and again in Reading University in 2013.

Lisa came to Borris in 2014 and took part in a 5X15 talk in which she treated us to her Beckettian homage.
