Kevin Gildea

Kevin Gildea is a comedian, writer, award winning playwright, interviewer, sometime TV presence, Irish Times book reviewer and potential novelist. As a TV art’s reporter he has interviewed –  amongst others – Terry Gilliam, Will Self, Eddie Izzard, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. As a playwright he has won RTE Radio’s PJ O’Connor awards – 1st, 2nd and 3rd (at different times). He has performed his stand-up all over the world – from Rome to Shanghai, from Finland to Cavan. Kevin was a writer/performer on RTÉ’s sadly missed satirical sketch show Irish Pictorial Weekly.
His comedy has been described as    
“Creative, Original, Pioneering”  by The Guardian,“Comedy on a different level” by The Irish Times and “Highly Original, Explosively Funny” by The Sunday Times
