Edmund White

Edmund White is a brilliant novelist, memoirist and essayist, his critically acclaimed work frequently focuses on homosexual experience in the US. His autobiographical novels, beginning with A Boy’s Own Story provided a landmark in fiction of that genre. The Joys of Gay Sex, co-written with Charles Silverstein was a crucial work in its time. As a memoirist he has written on Proust, Rimbaud and Genet. He frequently contributes to the New York Book Review, is the Professor of Creative Writing at Princeton University and has been named 2016’s New York State’s author.
