Anthony Horowitz is one of the most prolific writers in the UK, unique in that he works across so many genres including more than fifty novels, TV series as well as films, plays and journalism. Anthony books include the Alex Rider series which has sold over 20 million copies worldwide and has been adapted into a hugely successful television series produced by Sony and Eleventh Hour Films. He is responsible for creating and writing some of the UK’s most beloved series including BAFTA award-winning Foyle’s War and Midsomer Murders. His ground-breaking novel, Magpie Murders was adapted into a critically acclaimed series for Masterpiece and BBC1 and the sequel, Moonflower Murders is currently in post-production. He has written five books in a new series featuring detective Daniel Hawthorne and a sidekick called Anthony Horowitz – and was named “the greatest of our crime writers” by the Sunday Times. Anthony was awarded a CBE in 2022 for his services to literature and since 2019 he has been a patron of Suffolk Home-Start, a charity supporting families throughout Suffolk.
