A former teacher, broadcaster, barrister and mediator, Cynthia Ní Mhurchú was elected to the European Parliament in 2024. She is a member of the liberal Renew Europe group. Prior to her election, Cynthia worked for 27 years as a self-employed barrister in the Irish Courts at all levels, representing private clients as well as legally aided clients, in the areas of family law and civil law.
