Sulaiman Addonia is British/Eritrean/Ethiopian. He spent his early life in a refugee camp in Sudan following the Om Hajar massacre in 1976 and moved to Saudi Arabia in his early teens.  He arrived in the UK in 1990 as an underage immigrant.  After learning English, Sulaiman obtained a BSc in Economics and an MSc in Development Studies.  His first novel,The Consequences of Love,  was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers ‘ Prize and has been translated into more than 20 languages.
