“Paul Murray was born in Dublin in 1975. His novel An Evening of Long Goodbyes was shortlisted for the 2003 Whitbread Prize for First Novel. His second novel, Skippy Dies, was long-listed for the 2010 Man Booker Prize and shortlisted for the Costa Novel Award, the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize, the Irish Book Award and, in the US, the National Book Critic Circle ‘s Prize. It was number three in Time magazine ‘s top ten books of 2010.
