Her books include: Cairo at War 1939-1945, Writing at the Kitchen Table: The Authorized Biography of Elizabeth David, and Patrick Leigh Fermor: An Adventure. Her most recent biography, Elizabeth Jane Howard: A Dangerous Innocence, is an insightful analysis of Elizabeth Jane Howard ‘s life and relationships, culminating with her painful marriage to Kingsley Amis. Other works include Paris After the Liberation 1945-1949, co-written with her husband Antony Beevor.
