Arun Ghosh is a British-Asian clarinettist, bandleader, multi-instrumentalist and composer.
Twice awarded ‘Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year’ at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards (UK), Arun leads his own ensembles, touring nationally and internationally. He has released five albums on camoci records: Northern Namaste, Primal Odyssey, A South Asian Suite, but where are you really from? , and Seclused in Light.
He also works as a composer for theatre and film. Arun’s most recent composition is for chamber jazz ensemble and voices, aneleven song setting of St Francis of Assisi’s The Canticle of the Sun. Having toured England in 2023, The Canticle of the Sun will be released as an album in November this year.
Arun has performed alongside Cerys Matthews for many years; most notably their collaborations with Ballet Cymru (Poems / Tir ) , and as a musician on Cerys’ acclaimed adaptation of Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood.
