Ian McEwan


Ian McEwan, held by some to be an English National treasure, is a hugely respected and successful English writer and play write. His first book,  First Love, Last Rites  won The Somerset Maugham Award, another the Whitbread Award, his  Amsterdam, the Man Booker Prize. His books have been turned into films €“ notably  Atonement  (2001).    Ian McEwan ‘s captures ordinary life as it encounters extraordinary circumstances and is not afraid to look deeply into what happens there.   Ian McEwan is an avid hiker, often finding breakthroughs for his books while he makes his way along long wondrous walking trails.
