Katherine Rundell is a Fellow of St Catherine’s College, Oxford. Her bestselling books for children have been translated into more than thirty languages, sold over two million copies and won multiple awards. Rundell is the author, for adults, of Super-Infinite: The Transformations of John Donne, which won the Baillie Gifford Prize for Non-Fiction, The Golden Mole and Other Living Treasure, and Why You Should Read Children’s Books, Even Though You Are So Old and Wise. For children, she’s the author of Impossible Creatures, which won Waterstones Book of the Year, Rooftoppers, The Explorer, and half a dozen others. She writes for the LRB, TLS, the New York Times and the NYRB, mostly about books and animals, but sometimes about flying, night-climbing and tightrope walking.
