Manchán Magan  is a well loved and highyl regarded writer and documentary maker. His travel documentaries look at world culture and globalisation at different locations around the world, they have been aired in over 25 countries. He writes a travel column for the Irish Times and regularly submits to the Guardian, the Washington and LA Times. His bilingual plays, Broken Croí/Heart Briste and Bás Tongue (Focal Point) have won numerous awards and were nominated for the Irish Times Theatre Awards. Manchá work includes novels and travels books, such as the well received A Journey Through India and Truck Fever, A Journey Through Africa. Manchán lives in a self-built shack in the forest he planted in the lake wilds of Westmeath.
