Mike McCormack, based in West of Ireland is one of Ireland ‘s quietly brilliant contemporary authors and short story writers. He won the Rooney Prize for Literature with his debut collection Getting it in the Head (1996). Never taking the simple approach, his most recent work, a 223 page single sentence, Solar Bones (2016) won a well deserved Goldsmiths Prize and the Novel of the Year at the Irish Book Awards.
