Victoria Glendinning is the award-winning author of novels and biographies on Elizabeth Bowen, Edith Sitwell, Vita Sackville-West, Rebecca West, Anthony Trollope, Jonathan Swift and Leonard Woolf.
She reviews books for national newspapers and journals, and does some broadcasting and television. Victoria was a part-time teacher and a psychiatric social worker before beginning to write full time. Currently, she is working on a novel about nuns.
